Avoid applying oil or wax to wooden antiques or furniture when you are in the moving process to make these stuff easy to handle. Remove fragile and heavy items from drawers. Carry small items like jewelry, coins and some other breakable things with you. Secure your house pets (if you have) and clear walkways for the smoothness of the moving process.
For your moving ease, have your boxes with labels and secure it with lids and tapes. Mark boxes on two sides and not on top. Label boxes that contain delicate contents with "fragile" and have them packed with sufficient padding. Boxes that are 1.5 cubic ft. in height or smaller are advisable for books, paper and other heavy materials. A box this size roughly weights 70 lbs. You may stack boxes in one area four to five boxes high for easy hand-truck access. If you need someone to help you in the packing process, call us immediately and we will attend to your request two days prior in your moving date. We can't do the packing on the day of your move. Applicable labor and material charges apply.

-
Purchase wardrobe boxes from any storage facility that sells such items and fill with clothes. All other closets and cabinet items must be boxed, i.e. kitchen, bathroom, laundry room.

To save time please have all beds disassembled prior to our arrival. We will gladly take over in disassembling your beds but this will take extra time and effort and additional costs will incur.

If your home has a garage or storage locker, please make sure all contents are already boxed up. Long handled items such as rakes, shovels and the likes should be taped together from top to bottom. This must be done to avoid accidents.
-
If you live in, or are moving into a building with an elevator, please reserve an appropriate time slot for your move. Small elevators require additional time to complete your move. Also, our trucks are between 12'' and 13".6` high and some buildings or loading docks are not capable of accommodating this height causing additional time to be incurred to complete the move. Please check and advise us at once in situations such as this.
-
If you are moving into a storage facility, additional time may be required if your storage unit is only accessible by elevator or down a long hallway. When leasing space, request a unit as close to an exit or elevator as possible. Fine furniture or other delicate items are best stored in a climate-controlled environment. To know more, inquire with your storage company for other details.
